Wrath of the Lich King

It has been five years since the heir apparent to the throne of Lordaeron disappeared into the frozen wastes of Northrend; five years since Arthas’ unholy union with Ner’zhul gave rise to one of the most powerful, twisted, and evil beings who ever walked the face of the world; five years of uneasy, foreboding silence. Yet your greatest adventure has only just begun. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King adds a host of epic content to the existing game world. You will achieve soaring levels of power, explore a vast new continent, battle other high-level heroes to determine the fate of Azeroth, and much, much more.

Hero Class: Death Knight

Play as the game’s first hero class, the fearsome death knight, and command the power of blood, frost, and unholy runes. In addition, every class in the game can learn powerful new spells and abilities of their own, as the level cap has been raised to 80.

Northrend

Beyond the familiar shores of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, the frozen wastes of Northrend beckon. Prepare to explore a massive new continent even bigger than Outland. If you thought that the Lich King would be the only opposing force you’d encounter in Northrend, think again. In Wintergrasp, the Horde and Alliance clash in intense open-world PvP warfare with fully destructible buildings, siege vehicles, and never-before-seen levels of carnage and mayhem. For players who prefer the more organized style of Battlegrounds, Strand of the Ancients offers an exciting new PvP challenge of its own.

New Dungeons

rath of the Lich King builds upon the innovations that The Burning Crusade brought to World of Warcraft’s dungeon and raid game. In addition to heroic 5-person dungeons, all raids now come in both 10-person and 25-person varieties, each offering independent challenges and rewards. Northrend’s rich history serves as the backdrop for encounters that are more intense, more fun, and more epic than anything that’s come before.

Barbershop

Get a stylish new haircut for your trip to Northrend, or grow a beard to help keep your face warm in the cold climate. You can now modify select facial features in the recently opened barbershops around Azeroth and Outland.

Inscription

New Achievements
